Time Nine Terms of Use
By accessing or using Time Nine (tm9.net), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of Time Nine immediately.
1. Nature of Service
Time Nine is a browser-based world clock and meeting planner provided as a free, voluntary service. Time Nine displays current local time for cities across global time zones, computes a color-coded overlap matrix showing when selected cities share working hours, identifies the highest-scoring meeting window, and generates shareable URLs for each city combination. All time zone computation within Time Nine executes locally inside your web browser through JavaScript and the browser's native Intl.DateTimeFormat internationalization API. The entity responsible for operating Time Nine is identified in the Time Nine Impressum.
2. As-Is Provision
Time Nine is provided strictly on an "AS IS", "WHERE IS", and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, with all faults and defects, whether known or unknown, visible or hidden. The entity operating Time Nine expressly disclaims all representations and warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, completeness, currentness, and freedom from errors, defects, interruptions, or other harmful components.
3. No Warranties
No advice, information, or material obtained from Time Nine shall create any warranty. The entity operating Time Nine does not warrant that Time Nine will meet your requirements, that Time Nine will be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free basis, that time zone data displayed through Time Nine will be accurate representations of current local time in all cases, that daylight saving time transitions will be correctly reflected under every browser, device, and operating system configuration, that overlap matrix calculations will produce accurate working-hour assessments for all time zones under all circumstances, that the best meeting window identified by Time Nine will be correct in all cases, or that any defects in Time Nine will be identified or corrected.
4. Time Zone Accuracy Disclaimer
Time Nine computes time zone data using the browser's native Intl.DateTimeFormat internationalization API. The accuracy of time zone output depends on your browser's JavaScript engine, the time zone database bundled with your browser and operating system, your device's system clock accuracy, active browser extensions, and your device's processing environment. Time Nine's time zone output serves as a general-purpose reference tool. Professional applications requiring certified or guaranteed time-critical scheduling, including contractual deadline enforcement, regulatory compliance timing, financial transaction scheduling, and legal filing deadlines, should employ dedicated, independently validated time reference systems appropriate to the specific requirements governing the use case.
5. Assumption of Risk
You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of Time Nine is entirely at your own risk. You assume full responsibility for all consequences arising from your use of Time Nine, including any reliance on time zone data, overlap calculations, or meeting window recommendations produced by Time Nine for scheduling, coordination, communication timing, or any other purpose.
6. Scope of Intended Use
Time Nine serves as a general-purpose utility for informational and convenience purposes. Professional applications where time zone accuracy carries legal, financial, contractual, or safety consequences require tools specifically designed, tested, certified, and validated for those contexts. You bear sole responsibility for determining whether Time Nine is appropriate for your intended use and for independently verifying any time zone data, overlap calculations, or meeting window recommendations produced by Time Nine before relying upon them in any consequential context.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the entity operating Time Nine, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, successors, and assigns, shall bear no liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind, including damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, business opportunities, revenue, missed meetings, scheduling conflicts, or other tangible or intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to, use of, or inability to use Time Nine, regardless of the cause of action or theory of liability, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, and regardless of whether the entity operating Time Nine has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions where complete exclusion of liability is not permitted, the total aggregate liability of the entity operating Time Nine for all claims shall not exceed one euro (€1.00).
8. Indemnification
You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the entity operating Time Nine, together with its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, licensors, successors, and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with your use of Time Nine, your violation of these Terms of Use, your violation of any applicable law or regulation, and any reliance on time zone data, overlap calculations, or meeting window recommendations produced by Time Nine for any purpose.
9. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for verifying that any time zone information displayed through Time Nine meets your requirements before relying on Time Nine's output for scheduling, coordination, or any other purpose. You are solely responsible for independently confirming the correctness of any overlap calculation or meeting window recommendation when the consequences of an incorrect time are significant. You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of Time Nine complies with all laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction.
10. Intellectual Property
Time Nine, including Time Nine's name, logos, visual design, source code, city databases, timezone databases, translation databases, and all associated intellectual property, remains the exclusive property of the entity identified in the Time Nine Impressum. These Terms of Use grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Time Nine as a world clock and meeting planner in accordance with these Terms of Use. All rights that are expressly stated here are the full extent of the rights granted.
11. Service Continuity
The entity operating Time Nine reserves the right to modify, suspend, limit, or permanently discontinue Time Nine, in whole or in part, at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without prior notice. The entity operating Time Nine bears no obligation to maintain, support, update, or continue providing Time Nine.
12. Modification of Terms
The entity operating Time Nine reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms of Use at any time. Your continued use of Time Nine following any modification constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms of Use. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms of Use periodically.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the entity operating Time Nine is registered, as identified in the Time Nine Impressum, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Use is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make the provision valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.
15. No Waiver
Failure by the entity operating Time Nine to enforce any provision of these Terms of Use shall not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce that provision or any other provision at any future time.
16. Translations
Time Nine's Terms of Use may be provided in languages other than English as a courtesy to visitors of Time Nine. In the event of any conflict, discrepancy, or inconsistency between the English-language version and any translated version of these Terms of Use, the English-language version shall prevail in all cases.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, together with the Time Nine Privacy Policy and the Time Nine Impressum, constitute the entire agreement between you and the entity operating Time Nine regarding your use of Time Nine and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications on the subject matter.
